Located in the Sandton Convention Centre, Portugal House is Johannesburg’s premiere venue for Portugese supporters and an opportunity for world cup fans to experience all that is Portugal.

Running concurrently with the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Portugal House is a showcase of Portugese culture, heritage and sport.

Known as Selecção das Quinas, Portugal finished first in the qualifying round for the 2006 World Cup with 30 points, nine games won, three draws, and no defeats. The second-placed Russia finished with seven points less. The Selecção played with Estonia, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Russia, and Slovakia. Famous results include a home (7–1) against Russia and an away tie with Liechtenstein (2–2, after being winning 2–0 at half-time).
